Are We Too Fortunate That We Don't Know How To Treasure What We Have?

Watched this episode, I forgot what the title was. It talks about a Singaporean going to rural areas to see how they live etc... In this episode, it talks about our Singaporean man going to the rural area in Sarawak. Oh my god, the living there totally sucks. If I was given this task, I guess I will be the first one to opt out of this challenge. The kids there don't even go to school, they don't even have a chance to. Only a few of them went out to the city to study. But they miss the nature too much, that they went back to spend time with their family.

And their daily life is very simple and they help one and each other, which I am glad that they
have the team spirit which I don't think people these days have. Look at the kids? Look at what they eat? If it was us, I think we will be Eeeee-ing and Ewwwww-ing away because their food can be just plain sago which they picked from the trees, or if they are lucky to catch some wild animals, to them is more than sufficient and contented. To us we still demand for Japanese food, Fast foods, Korean food etc... (No racist issue here ah... Just quoting some examples!)

To us we got the MP3, MP4, Internet, Computer and all those high end stuff and those people there don't even know what is computer and what is new technology. But they are contented with some of their traditional dandut etc... To us, we will grumble and make a whole fuss why this no good that no good, everything no good etc... I want a new handphone! I want a new MP3! etc... I admit I am one of them who likes high-end gadgets. But I am just upset that why these people have to live in the wild. But one good thing is they learn skills of 'SURVIVAL' but to us, we don't even have the knowledge despite of how much we study... MASTERS DEGREE. HOURNERS etc.. We study this much. Do we know how to survive on our own if we are going to live there? We know nothing... ABSOLUTELY NOTHING at ALL!!!!!

So comparing to our lives and theirs, we are so damm FORTUNATE and we are still not contented. Should we make a change to our lives? I think we should do something. Where is the team spirits among us??? Where???
